The Best Brands of iPhone 7 Plus Cases

If you own an iPhone 7 Plus, there’s almost no reason not to have a good quality case to protect a phone of this value. When choosing a case, look for one that offers a little cushioning and a raised bezel around the screen to protect it from drops.

If you don’t want a case, I suggest using a glass screen protector as well as adding a bumper or shell for added protection. The glass will keep the body of your phone safe while still allowing you to see its beauty.

We’ve tested many cases and recommend the following as the best brands of iPhone 7 Plus cases out there today:

7. Lifeproof Fre case

Lifeproof

Lifeproof cases are built to last and perform well in almost every situation, including underwater! Lifeproof has been around since 2009.

The cases are 100% waterproof and dirtproof, protecting your phone from all kinds of elements. The Fre takes it to another level with drop protection up to 7 feet on concrete.

You’re not paying for just protection with Lifeproof. The Fre has a built-in screen protector that you can’t even tell is there, but if you ever need to replace the screen on your phone because of damage, this case will come with a new screen as well.

The only downside of the Fre is that it doesn’t protect your phone as much on its bottom as other cases would, and it isn’t as protective for those who drop their phones from higher heights. It also doesn’t come with a case to protect against bumps and scratches while your phone is in your pocket.

If you’re looking for a rugged case that will keep your iPhone 7 Plus safe from most situations, I highly recommend the Lifeproof Fre case. It’s definitely one of the best-value iPhone 7 Plus cases out there.

6. OtterBox Stada case

OtterBox

The OtterBox Stada case is one of the company’s most affordable cases that still offers rugged protection. It has a textured finish, raised bezel around the screen, and port covers to help keep dust out of your phone while it’s not in use.

OtterBox continues to make excellent cases that will protect your iPhone 7 Plus from drops, impacts and other hazards. The Otterbox Stada case is one of our favorites because it has a slim design with great protection. It’s also waterproof so you can take it in the pool or drop your phone in the toilet without worry. Being water-resistant allows you to safely use your device underwater without fear of damaging it by accident.

5. Apple Leather Case

Apple

If you want to keep it simple, the Apple Leather Case is one of our favorites for this device. You get a simple design with easy access to all buttons and ports, but it’s also thin enough that you won’t notice any added bulk.

It comes in a whole range of colors and it’s even available with a small pocket for holding cash or credit cards. It also can be personalized using laser engraving.

4. Speck Presidio Grip Case

Speck

Speck has been making iPhone cases for as long as I can remember. They have a variety of styles and colors to choose from, so you’ll almost always be able to find one they have available that will suit your tastes.

The Presidio Grip case is a thin plastic shell with a rubberized grip on the backside for easy handling. A raised lip protects the front of your iPhone 7 Plus from scratches and an open port at the bottom lets you plug in headphones without removing the case.

3. Belkin Air Protect SheerForce

Belkin

We recommend the Belkin Air Protect SheerForce case for iPhone 7 Plus because it’s an excellent balance of protection and style. It looks like a slim, transparent case but there are actually two layers that protect your phone. The tough polycarbonate shell protects against impact while the air cushion technology absorbs shocks when you drop it.

If you’re looking for added grip, this is one of our top recommendations due to its textured surface on the backside. This makes it easier to hold onto and prevents it from slipping out of your hands.

2. Cygnett UrbanWallet Flip Case

Cygnett

Cygnett UrbanWallet Flip Case is a great option if you’re looking for something that’s slim and lightweight but still provides protection. You can have it in any color as long as it’s black.

It has two card slots inside to hold credit cards or cash as well as a small pocket perfect for receipts. The interior features soft microfiber lining which protects your phone from constantly rubbing against the hard case. The exterior has a subtle texture so it doesn’t slip out of your hands easily and gives the case a little bit of grip.

The iPhone 7 Plus is held in place by eight metal studs that surround the perimeter, which also allow you to use wireless charging without having to remove the case first. The buttons are covered with antibacterial microfiber material and provide extra protection for them as well as preventing dust from getting inside the case.

1. Torro Stand Case for iPhone 7 Plus

Torro Stand

This is one of the most premium cases you’ll find, but it also offers some unique features that are worth considering. The case has a large built-in stand on its back with four different viewing angles. It’s easy to adjust and stays in place well with rubber feet at each corner.

The charging port opening is wide enough for any cable you might have to lay around, including Apple’s own Lightning cables, but there isn’t much wiggle room between the phone and case when charging. The case is thin, but provides good protection against scratches and scrapes with a textured back and raised bezel around the front of the screen.

The openings for ports are all precise and large enough to accommodate most third-party cables and headphones, including Apple’s own accessories. You do have to use your iPhone 7 Plus in an upright position while charging, though. I found that it worked best when resting on my MacBook Pro’s keyboard or on top of some paperwork on my desk.

It’s a great option for those who use their iPhone 7 Plus in the car and want to charge it while using GPS apps, music players or other features that require a larger screen or better sound quality. It’s also nice if you prefer to have your phone propped up on a desk when watching videos or doing work at home.

So there you have it! If you’ve upgraded to the iPhone 7 Plus, we hope this guide has helped you find the best cases and accessories for your new phone. We’re here if you need additional help with any of these options and look forward to hearing about how much more productive (or not) we can make your life with a new iPhone.
